When her classic beauty shot her to stardom in the mid-’90s, Dallas-born model Chandra North found herself everywhere, from the cover of Vogue to strutting down runways for Christian Dior and Chanel. These days, she’s DJing the coolest parties in town, most recently at MTV Re:Define, and working on a playlist with DJ Mark Ridlen for Brandt and Brady Wood’s new restaurant, Jose. But she hasn’t left her fashionable roots behind—North is both in front of and behind the camera these days, collaborating on art direction and production of fashion editorials, and probably giving an inside perspective few others can on giving good face.
FACIALIST “Generally, I don’t get facials, but I love the facials at The Spa at The Joule. Rula is amazing, and I love the face massage she gives.” 214.261.4555
MANCURIST “Usually I just keep them short and buffed myself, but if I have a shoot or a special occasion, I like the convenience of MiniLuxe and the fact [that] they don’t use any nasty chemicals there, and it’s superhygenic.”
ZEN MOMENT “I practice yoga, meditation and ayurveda with Kirsten Joy Burch—she has made me a believer. Before bed, I’ll do ‘legs up the wall’; it totally recirculates your blood and balances your hormones, and you sleep better.”
HAIR STYLIST “I get my hair colored and cut by Eric Culbertson at Salon Three Thirty and have for years now.” 214.219.1100
