Louis Vuitton: Virgil Abloh is a stunning tribute.
BOOK SMART “There’s no limit... life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.” These words from the late Virgil Abloh will be forever stamped throughout the fashion community. Honoring the former men’s artistic director at Louis Vuitton, this exquisite new tome—Louis Vuitton: Virgil Abloh (Assouline)—takes readers on Abloh’s groundbreaking career trajectory and showcases the crucial impact he had on the industry. Written by Abloh’s close collaborator, Anders Christian Madsen, the book features a thoughtfully curated collection of imagery, fond reflections from friends in the biz (Naomi Campbell, Kid Cudi, Kendall Jenner and more) and stories of Abloh’s time with Louis Vuitton. louisvuitton.com
The hot smoked Ora King salmon is a must at Quarter Acre.
VISUAL FEAST Coming in hot just in time for the holiday season, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Quarter Acre. Chef Toby Archibald is bringing his dreams to life, one culinary creation at a time, with this new restaurant located in the former Rapscallion space on lower Greenville. “I always knew I wanted to open a restaurant with great food, impeccable service and a welcoming atmosphere like many memorable restaurants I’ve encountered in New Zealand and around the world,” shares Archibald. “When guests leave Quarter Acre, we want them to rave about the service just as much as the food.” The New Zealand native will marry a mix of local produce and international ingredients throughout his mouthwatering menu. A few dishes to note: smoked beef tartare, banana leaf-grilled cod and hay-roasted chicken. “As a chef, it’s a wonderful feeling to be able to bring people together through my food, whether it’s for a special occasion or just a regular evening out,” enthuses the chef. “When you boil it down, I just love to cook and make people happy.” 2023 Greenville Ave., Ste. 110
