What a Ride!

| June 21, 2011 | Parties National

The FĂȘte: From a custom, 96-foot runway to the hotshot new wheels (and plenty of fashion, natch), you could say our finale event at Park Place Motorcars Dallas really dressed to impress. Presented by Park Place and Stanley Korshak, and benefiting the Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas, the chic scenario started simply with cocktails (citrus-infused Belvedere Vodka) and vino (Voga Italia), along with fare from Food Glorious Food and glam shots in The Photo Stand. Then, it was time for the party to really get started. Main Attractions: The trendsetting Fresh Faces of Fashion, dolled up to perfection thanks to the team at Johnny Rodriguez The Salon, hit the runway for one final spin—much to the animated crowd’s delight—before unveiling the all-new 2012 Mercedes-Benz models: the CLS 550 and the SLK 350. Project Runway: We built the catwalk and he came! It was quite a coup, but we snagged Christian Siriano to jet in for the fashion show, coordinated by Korshak, where the designer previewed his head-turning confections for fall, paired with towering, avant-garde platforms that would put even Lady Gaga to shame. The Winners: Co-chair Yvonne Crum announced that rock-star Fresh Face Amanda Sterett sold the most raffle tickets (narrowly edging out Charlotte Rollin Reynolds and Piper Young), securing victory in our Fresh Focus contest. Lisa Muder Stapp was even more thrilled, though, as she went home with the ultimate raffle prize: a new Mercedes.
