'Tis The Season

| November 10, 2016 | Parties National

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra celebrated a new season of music with a gala and an afterparty at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.

A new season of fresh music, and no better way to celebrate than with the annual Dallas Symphony Orchestra Gala and After-Party, where patrons gathered at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center for a black-tie affair.

DSO President and CEO Jonathan Martin, gala chairs Roger and Marena Gault, honorary chair Sherwood Wagner, and underwriting chairs Ron and Kristi Hoyl and Barry and Margaret Hancock were joined by high-profile Dallasites such as Ross and Margot Perot, Margaret McDermott, Nancy Nasher and David Haemisegger, Lynn McBee, and Jack and Doris Jacobs.

After a cocktail reception and beautiful dinner, guests moved to the concert hall for a breathtaking performance by world-renowned pianist Lang Lang, conducted by DSO Music Director Jaap van Zweden—who, as always, received a standing ovation. Afterward, revelers loosened their ties for the highly anticipated afterparty, where host Nicholas Boulle and late-night entertainer DJ Steffi Burns made sure the party kept on going. ‒Nadia Dabbakeh
