The Dallas Museum of Art Presents Working Among Flowers: The French Floral Still Life in the Nineteenth Century

The first major American exhibition to consider the French floral still life across the 19th century will premiere at the DMA in October 2014. Working Among Flowers: The French Floral Still Life in the Nineteenth Century, co-organized by the DMA and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, will showcase approximately 60 floral still lifes from painters such as Eugene Delacroix, Gustave Courbet, Henri Fantin-Latour, Edouard Manet, and Paul Cezanne to, highlight the well-established painting genre in France during the 1800s. This exhibition will include six works from the DMA's collection, and be accompanied by a fully illustated color catalogue. More information here.
