On view exclusively in the U.S. at the Dallas Museum of Art, Nur: Light in Art and Science from the Islamic World is an exhibition of Islamic art and culture exploring the use and meaning of light in Islamic art and science. Deriving its title from the Arabic word for "light" in both the physical and metphysical sense, Nur highlights innovations in artistic techniques that enhance the effect of light as well as scientific fields that contributed to enlightenment.
