Were your eyes always set on entering the world of sports on a professional level? I’ve always absolutely loved to play golf. I think there was a club in my crib when I was a baby, so it was a natural fit.
What is the best part of your job? Being able to share it with the world, my children, experience so many different cultures and people. It is a dream come true to be able to live my dream and help grow the game and help people through the Team Reed Foundation around the world.
How do you juggle being on the circuit with your home life? I think having balance in life is the key to being successful in any job or career. And that includes spending time with my family, friends, community, and enjoying the city we live in and supporting our Houston teams and local businesses.
Tell us a bit more about your recent partnership with Hublot—have you always been a watch connoisseur? Before I became an ambassador for Hublot, I was a very loyal customer to the brand. I’ll never forget the first time I went into the boutique in Houston. It was love at first sight. I loved the edginess and sharp and classy look of the timepieces. I walked out with two watches that day and surprised my wife with one of them. So from that point on, anytime we had something to celebrate (like a win), I would purchase an Hublot watch for my wife and me. Something we both loved and enjoyed together and always looked forward to collecting, the next one.
What keeps you inspired? I think if we continue and stay committed to a goal or achievement, even through rough times, you still are improving, and I hope I can instill that in our children as well.
What charities do you like to support? Justine and I started the Team Reed Foundation in 2016, and we are very proud of all the work we have done to help our communities in education, junior golf, disaster relief, as well as across the country in cancer research, homeless shelters and many other organizations where we feel we can make an impact and improve people’s lives.
The man... the myth... the legend—any secret talents you can share or something that perhaps our readers don’t know about you? I have a pretty mean drop shot in tennis.
