THE PLAY BY PLAY Jerry’s World found a temporary home in the Westin Stonebriar; the only things missing perhaps were the jerseys and the goliath JumboTron. The players were definitely present and accounted for, though. A blitz of Dallas Cowboys greats all rushed the field—a red carpet, in this case—to support the Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational, which kicked off with a Friday reunion dinner, co-chaired by Dee Lincoln and John DiNardo, celebrating the legendary ’92 Super Bowl Championship team. KEEPING SCORE “We haven’t really been brought back together as a group since we won the title,” said Emmitt Smith. “We were able to accomplish a lot, and the memories we created will last a lifetime.” Cowboys broadcaster Brad Sham, who called the ’92 season, manned a lively panel discussion, where Smith, along with Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Daryl Johnston, Jay Novacek and others got in on the action. TOUCHDOWN! The Boys may have scored the most points at the dinner, sponsored by Modern Luxury Dallas, but the evening’s celeb poker tournament and DJ Lucy Wrubel’s hip play list were worthy of a cheering section, too. On Saturday, the invitational was in full swing with the third annual golf tournament at TPC Craig Ranch. Proceeds from the weekend benefited the Pat and Emmitt Smith Charities.
