Kate Weiser's chocolate ateliers house the sweetest of stocking stuffers.

DECEMBER PARTIES AND gift-giving call for the ultimate in confections. Launched four years ago in Trinity Groves, followed by a second location in NorthPark Center, Kate Weiser’s delightful eponymous atelier specializes in tiny abstract works of edible art as delicious as they are pretty. Signature chocolate bonbons with sweet fillings are available ready-made or by custom order in dozens of flavors (such as cabernet and berry; mango habanero; and Japanese yuzu) and a wide array of cocoa butter paint colors for bespoke gifts and holiday tables. The young chocolatier, who trained under James Beard Award semi-finalist pastry chef Megan Garrelts, also offers heftier treats, including a line of handcrafted caramels, toffee and candy bars (such as the Kate-y Trail Mix Bar with peanut butter, caramel, nuts, granola, pretzels and Bing cherries). There’s also our personal favorite, Carl the Snowman. For many, clever Carl has become a family tradition. Warmed in milk, this cute-as-a-button chocolate guy melts into a rich, delicious pot of cocoa—the stuff holiday memories are made of! Multiple locations
