Since its launch in 2014, outdoor furniture brand Stori Modern has been a go-to source for creating the ideal alfresco living space—from luxurious lanais to breezy back porches. Fast forward six years, and the Dallas-based company is making its first foray into lighting.

For owner Jean Liu, the new product category was a logical next step for the brand, which currently carries patio staples like tables, seating and cushions, as well as full furniture sets. Plus, Liu is no stranger to lighting solutions, as she launched her own design career after learning from the family business—Litex Industries, a ceiling fan and light fixture manufacturer.

“Stori Modern Lighting embraces versatility and midcentury modern vibes with the introduction of three new collections, each custom-designed in classic finishes that highlight your personal style,” says Liu. With a hopeful launch date of summer 2020, the new line comprises three styles: the Marker, a wet-rated lantern with clear glass; the Highlighter, a conical design offered as a pendant or a sconce; and the Quill, a funnel-shaped fixture available in both pendant and sconce form.
