When did you first develop your passion for the biz? My love for acting began when I set foot on my very first set—Freedom Writers on the Paramount Pictures lot. Seeing the entire process of filming a movie or TV show struck me; it just grabbed me and it didn’t let go. I wanted to know everything it took for a production to be completed from start to finish. To this day every set I get on I feel like a kid again because it’s an amazing feeling to be a part of such a collaborative process.
Party trick you’re famous for? I can usually get the party started, especially on the dance floor, but I can also sneak out early and get home to get some sleep.
Tell us more about Selena. My favorite part about working on this story is that we are able to share so much more information and details about her life. We all know the icon that Selena is with her career in music, but with the show we get to dive deeply into her life and share things like her relationships with her family, the band and how they came up in the early years.
Any dream projects? Star Wars. I loved the franchise growing up, and it would be amazing to be a part of that some day. I just love everything about the world that was created. I’m really excited to see what the franchise continues to do and would love to be a part of it.
What does the future hold? I hope to do more creating and to continue producing. Timing for me is the most important thing, and I’ve finally come to a place where the timing feels right. I have some really cool things that I want to develop and hope to bring those ideas to life soon. At the moment I also get to enjoy the blessing of being a new father. It’s a beautiful experience, and I love everything about it (yes, even the diaper changes).
