How long have you been involved with St. Philip’s?

Since we first walked into the doors at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in the spring of 2019. The Dallas Stars Foundation wanted to partner with an incredible organization to complete our Legacy Project per the Winter Classic. We knew how special this place was within 10 minutes of being on campus. We heard from the headmaster and executive director, Dr. Flowers; we met with the faculty and enjoyed listening to the young students reciting the creed.

How special is it for you and your wife, Kelly, to chair the annual Destiny Award Luncheon together on Friday, March 8?

We haven’t done anything like this before. We were so humbled by the request and honored to push this event to new heights. We are so excited to invigorate our circles, showcasing the beacon of prosperity and success of St. Philip’s.

As you reflect on St. Philip’s, what about their incredible work and efforts stick with you?

We are in awe of the mission to have their young, impressionable students focus on their intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth. Their bright future puts our community in the best position possible for the next generations. Sports are huge there, which we love, and Aunt Beatie’s food pantry feeds those in the community, displaying another fantastic layer of class by St Philip’s.

What can guests expect from this year’s Destiny Luncheon?

LL COOL J sharing his story will be epic, and we will hear from some of the city’s finest leaders. Our personal favorite will be honoring our dear friends Lyn and John Muse for all the dedication and commitment their family does for those in need in the city of Dallas.
