Dallas is host to a bevy of stunning art galleries presenting not-to-be-missed exhibitions. Here, we round up a few of our faves for spring.
Nasher Sculpture Center presents Mark di Suvero: Steel Like Paper.
KIMBELL ART MUSEUM
As if we needed an excuse to head to our favorite neighbor to the west, this museum boasts its own private art collection as well as a wide range of traveling exhibitions featuring some of history’s most famous artists. Check out The Kimbell at 50 exhibition celebrating the museum’s impressive anniversary through October, featuring archived materials and photographs curated to chronicle the institution’s storied history. DALLAS MUSEUM OF ART
Consistently striving for innovative programming, the DMA in conjunction with the Denver Art Museum and The Phoebus Foundation presents Saints, Sinners, Lovers, and Fools: 300 Years of Flemish Masterworks. The exhibition, which runs through June 25, explores over 130 works of art from Flanders from the 1400s to 1600s. NASHER SCULPTURE CENTER
Just a two-minute walk from DMA, Nasher Sculpture Center presents thought-provoking works from Mark di Suvero in his Steel Like Paper exhibition running through Aug. 27. Utilizing plates of steel in the same way painters use sheets of white paper, the sculptor is known for his monumental and abstract constructions. Explore over 30 sculptures and 40 drawings and paintings from the dynamo, curated to showcase the artist’s six-decade studio practice. 2001 Flora St., nashersculpturecenter.org

MODERN ART MUSEUM OF FORT WORTH
Texas’ oldest museum, the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth showcases dazzling collections of contemporary art from the 1940s to the present, including myriad evolving international exhibitions. Through April 30, explore a thematic curation entitled I’ll Be Your Mirror: Art and the Digital Screen. Organized into nine key themes, works from artists like Cory Arcangel, Gretchen Bender and Andy Warhol will dive into liminal space, surveillance, digital abstraction and so much more. 3200 Darnell St., Fort Worth, themodern.org
