Fashion Industry Gallery was the scene of America SCORES Dallas’ ninth annual gala—the most successful one yet in the nonprofit’s history. Chairwoman Marlene Sughrue was joined by major supporters and sponsors FC Dallas, honorary chair Doug Quinn, Lamar Hunt (with children Dan, Sharon and Clark all their for support), John Sughrue, Newt Walker and Ashley Tatum and others. The sold-out event featured the usual—cocktails, seated dinner, silent and live auctions—but the real highlight was the lively bidding war over contemporary artist Dan Rizzie’s item. When John Sughrue hopped onstage to pump up the bids for his bud, the crowd went wild, making the package of lunch, a print and private tour of his Sag Harbor studio an easy sell!
