Saint Valentine's Day Luncheon

| March 28, 2011 | Parties

For the second year in a row, a sleet storm blew through Dallas on the morning of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 27th annual luncheon and fashion show, themed The Art of Romance, at the Hilton Anatole’s Chantilly Ballroom. But, brave co-chairs Holly Pellham Davis and Kate Rose Marquez and honorary chair Margot Perot all carried on, as did more than 500 stiletto-heeled ladies, wearing their warmest for the Modern Luxury Dallas-sponsored affair. The arctic temps couldn’t chill out the catwalk, where Jan Strimple produced a sultry showing, with models in chic exits from Stanley Korshak (and a finale segment featuring Carolina Herrera’s elegant Resort and Spring 2011 collections). Lynda Adleta Heart of Gold Award recipient Nancy C. Rogers and Spirit of Tom Landry Character Award honoree Justin Thompson both took the stage to share a snippet of their inspiring stories. Korshak’s Crawford Brock was also lauded for his 10 years of loyal partnership with the luncheon.
