For a spirit-forward cocktail hour, the sultry, revamped Bar at the French Room in The Adolphus is a charmer.

OOH LA LA! The just-unveiled French Room Bar at The Adolphus Hotel just might be the sexiest spot for drinks in Dallas. After two years of multimillion-dollar renovations and restoration throughout the 100-year-old historic Beaux Arts hotel by design studio SWOON, its crown jewel, the French Room, is poised to reclaim a spot as a pinnacle of fine dining. The dusky counterpart to the legendary restaurant’s lofty, gilded space is the intimate bar adjacent. Navy walls, ruby red velvet drapes, historic portraits, an antique chinoiserie fireplace and Brutalist chandeliers set a sultry stage with a Gramercy Park vibe for cocktail specialist Anna Pereda’s alchemy: aperitifs, digestifs and new riffs on classic drinks made with premium spirits and house-crafted botanical elements. FT33 ex Jeffrey Gregory oversees the wine program, a curated collection of 300-plus bottles and 25 by-the-glass offerings from top producers and up-and-comers in France, California, Spain and Italy.
