Parker Paschall (parkerpaschalldesigns.com), a local Dallas florist known for his designs that flirt back is opening a new location this month—bigger, better and just as chic. We caught up with him to learn more.
Parker Paschall Designs, deeply rooted in the Dallas community, is settling into a new home this month.
How has the last six months been since you opened on Oct. 1, 2024?
Honestly, this past year has felt like 20. While I’m so grateful for its reward, I feel people don’t get enough credit for running a business. I want to be a huge event designer and florist in the future, and I know that takes time, and you can’t rush into everything. But sometimes, it feels like I’m screaming out at everyone to believe in me.
How does community play a part in your business and your life?
I went from pre-K to eighth grade just a block from my previous storefront so every day somebody who knows my family—my older sister, brother, parents or cousin—stops by. I think people see how much I care about my work, and I want everything I do and create to be as perfect as possible.
Is there an experience you strive to create for customers visiting your shop?
I’ve always loved luxe items, even though I didn’t grow up being able to have them all the time. That’s made me very innovative, and I enjoy discovering new ways to create. I tell planners, brides and clients that no matter your budget, I’ll give you the most value for what you can spend.
Do you have a favorite flower you enjoy working with the most?
I’ve always said I could never get a tattoo because I tend to fall in and out of love with things very quickly, even when it comes to flowers. But I’ve always loved a few, such as peonies in the springtime. They’re beautiful, though a bit basic.
As wedding season ramps up, how can someone lock in a booking with you?
Feel free to blow up my phone–text, email or call. One of the best ways, I will say, is to come into the store and see me in person. I’m here almost every day, and I’m great at pulling ideas out of people they didn’t even know they had.
What’s on the horizon?
I’m equally excited and terrified about moving store locations. Eventually, I want to start expanding into more items like accent chairs and coffee tables and leaning more into interior design. These past few months have really set me up, and I’m so happy to know my business isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
