Since founding the business back in 2012, you have witnessed firsthand how successful something can be if you pour your heart into it. What has been the best part of this impressive venture? CN: All of the ‘O-mazing’ women we have met since starting—our team, local vendors and small-business owners all across America. I love that I get to personally connect with so many women from coast to coast. I think it’s these intentional points of connection that help us to stay innovative! It’s a dynamic partnership that’s always fueling new ideas, fostering collaboration and having fun along the way. As mothers, our partnership has afforded us a beautiful balance.
What has been the biggest surprise? JC: My biggest (and happiest) surprise is that our success has been in large part due to the power of the female voice. Women can move mountains simply by sharing their thoughts and opinions with those around them, and their collective voice has certainly been key to our growth.
You have always seemed to keep community outreach as one of your founding priorities. Can you tell us a bit more about your new partnership with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas? CN: We love that United Way is a local organization, doing good right here in our own backyard. The overwhelmingly positive support from the women of Dallas was crucial in getting Oventure off the ground in its infancy, and we thought it fitting this partnership could be a way for us to return the favor to the women of Dallas.

What keeps the two of you motivated to tackle each day and constantly strive to be bigger and better? JC: The drive and the desire to do well for our Oventure team and our customers keeps me going no matter what challenges we face. We created Oventure to give women an extra hand, literally and figuratively. The thought that each day I can lend a hand, put a smile on people’s faces and help make life easier one small detail at a time motivates me to work even harder. Hearing that our company is a game changer, a problem solver or a bright light is all the motivation that I need.
I hear that perhaps there is an expansion in Europe in the works? CN: Yes! We recently expanded our international shipping beyond Canada, which was one of our big goals for 2021. We’re now able to ship to 15 countries, and we hope to add even more by the end of the year. Our online business has been really taking off in Germany and Australia. It’s exciting to be at the onset of the journey with these international customers. We feel like we’re back at the beginning, introducing women to a brand-new, life-changing concept.
