THE SETTING Themed Joie de Vivre, the 51st Junior League of Dallas Ball transformed the Hilton Anatole’s Chantilly Ballroom with the inimitable French touch of unsurpassed excitement and appreciation for the organization’s charitable works. THE SCENE JLD Ball Chair Bunny Cotten was a perfect hostess for the 700 guests who filled the Chantilly Ballroom after a silent auction and receptions honoring the evening’s sponsors, Sewell and PlainsCapital Bank. In a room fit for Versailles, gala-goers noshed on the French-inspired menu of goat cheese tart with ratatouille, filet of beef with BĂ©arnaise sauce and sweet chocolate cherries marinated in balsamic vinegar. After dinner, the crowd hit the dance floor to Andy Grammer’s contemporary soul and pop tunes, including his Top 5 hit single, “Keep Your Head Up.” THE CROWD The glittering room was packed with A-listers, including Julie and Scott Bagley, Cullum and Nita Clark, Aimee Griffiths, Elizabeth and Alex Laurenzi, Caren Prothro, Beverly and Scott Rice, Isabell Novakov, Tracy Steiner, Carl Sewell Jr., Crayton and Nikki Webb and Bill and Cachet Weinberg.
