Adept at connecting with others through the power of art, color and conversations, Nita Patel is a globally recognized artist, executive coach and entrepreneur.
What are your specialties in your industry?
NP: Creating large-format abstract paintings, facilitating private and corporate art therapy workshops and providing creative yet strategic solutions and support to executives in the workplace. We live in a fast paced world, so anything I can do to help people destress and find a moment of balance and wellness is my passion.
What is your favorite part of your job?
NP: Hearing a client, fan or friend say they’ve been inspired to take a step toward positive change.
What differentiates your business strategy in the industry?
NP: My mission of “Healing the World Through Art™” is my biggest differentiator in how I approach my work as an artist and coach. The term art doesn’t have to be taken literally, though I strongly believe “everything is art.” I create art with the intention of uplifting the emotions of those who will experience it. When someone looks at my work, I want them to feel a strong sense of emotions and connect with it. When working with clients, a creative, customized approach is the reason why people want to work with me.
What are some of your proudest career highlights?
NP: Graduating from Harvard with my masters in I/O Psychology, showing my art at The Louvre in Paris, and most recently being a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden via AmeriCorps. In Feb 2024, I was commissioned to make an art piece for the 66th Grammy Awards for the African nominees category.
What are the positive ways you use your power in your community?
NP: Through my mission “Healing the World Through Art™,” I educate leaders on the impact of color and the transformative influence of strategically placed artwork on environments. Additionally, I serve as an advisor in the Arts Sector of Compassionate DFW and contribute my time as a volunteer at BAPS Charities, extending support to local and global communities.
What is the most valuable life lesson you’ve learned in your career?
NP: Aligning your values to your work is critical to progress and long-term success.
