The world of NFTs and digital art is rapidly evolving and with that comes the rise in supporting technology for these digital art pieces. Danvas is setting the standard for luxury digital art canvas, as the first company to develop a premium, museum-quality display for NFTs.
CEO and co-founder of Danvas, Jeanne Anderson is helping bridge the gap between the NFT art space and the real world. Anderson has worked in the art space for many years, before delving into the world of digital art, which she deemed a natural transition, “Once I started to see all of the excitement and the opportunity in the NFT and digital art workspace, given the marriage of my tech background and my love of art and having worked in art sales, it made a tonne of sense for me personally to make the transition,” Anderson expressed.

About three years ago, while working at Saatchi Art, Anderson began to see a shift in the art space which she explained to be a very transformative moment for digital artists. Anderson and Danvas co-founder Hernan Lopez set themselves on a mission to explore the space and realized that individuals who understand the digital art world, understand that their art pieces are not just valuable and an investment, but truly a beautiful piece of art that should be displayed and admired. Through this exploration, the idea of Danvas truly came to life, Anderson continued, “They're going to need a device to display this on and they're going to want something that is gorgeous, that is worthy of a very beautiful piece of artwork but also worthy of the future of digital artwork.” In December of 2021, Danvas announced a $7 million seed funding round, with hopes to have their product ready to launch by spring of 2022.

Over the last few years, Anderson has developed such a strong appreciation for the digital art world and the future of art. With a vast collection of NFTs herself, Anderson has grown to love and appreciate the works of many. Anderson laughed as she said, “Not only am I a collector, but I am a collector full of regrets. There are so many things I wish I could have bought that I haven't bought.”
With many trailblazers in the space, we of course had to pick Anderson’s brain on some artists she deems as pioneers and who to look out for in the upcoming year. When discussing trailblazers, the first name that came to Anderson’s mind was Sofia Garcia, a leader in the generative art space, but Anderson knows that what we see in the digital art world right now is just a glimpse into the future. “A lot of what's coming in the next few years is going to be really remarkably different from how people perceive digital artwork today,” she said.
With 2022 set to be a strong year in the digital age, Anderson’s ones to watch include Monica Rizzolli and Dylan Mayoral. She explained that Mayoral is a prime example of how the art world is rapidly evolving, as his work explores more than a traditional 2D, static NFT, it brings dance, performance, choreography and art into one.
With NFTs at the forefront of the art industry, the sky is quite literally the limit. When leaders in the industry, such as Anderson, are excited about the future and innovation in the space, there is no doubt that the space has changed indefinitely for artists and creators alike.
