Where To Find A Taste Of New Orleans In Dallas

By Kristen Romano | February 12, 2021 | Food & Drink

Laissez les bon temps rouler! Whenever you're dreaming of beignets and brass bands, head to these local haunts for a taste of New Orleans.

1. Le Bon Temps
When you can’t make it to Cafe Du Monde, try this Deep Ellum cafe for your beignet fix. The French Quarter-inspired menu features classic beignets, craft coffee drinks and boozy ice cream concoctions. Try the Cafe Bon Temps—iced coffee with a citrus twist. 2932 Main St., 214.444.3215, lebontempsbeignets.com

2. NOLA Brasserie
Experience Crescent City culture and cuisine at this downtown bar and restaurant. Located on the ground floor of the Westin Dallas Downtown, NOLA Brasserie cooks everything from scratch. Top items include Louisiana staples like crawfish étouffée, chicken and andouille gumbo and handbreaded, fried catfish. Take advantage of the festive cocktail menu and treat yourself to a glass of rum punch. 1201 Main St., 469.872.1820, nolabrasserie.com

3. Revelers Hall
For late-night festivities, this Bishop Arts watering hole is the closest you’ll get to a New Orleans jazz joint in Dallas. Check out the acclaimed house band every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5PM, or one of the countless other performances across a wide variety of genres—the venue features live music seven nights a week. Sip an Old-Fashioned or a French 75 while you enjoy the show. 412 N. Bishop Ave., 972.982.2661, revelershall.com
