MAMMA MIA!
Flavor profiles come to life at the recently unveiled Nikki Greek Bistro & Lounge. Located in the former City Cafe space, this buzzy spot boasts authentic cuisine with seasonal ingredients. “When dining in the true Greek fashion, the food is not the only element to the experience,” enthuses owner Tom Georgalis, who created the concept and opened the space with his wife, Lisa. “The experience is stimulating all five senses. The nose for the aroma, the eyes for the sights, the tongue for the taste, the hands for the touch and most neglected sense, the ears, to enjoy the sounds of glasses cheering, music playing, and the wine owing.” Another draw to the new spot is the highly-anticipated lineup of live music for patrons to delight in. 5757 W. Debuting June 16, the show will run through Sept. 15 and showcase Holy Roman Emperor Charles V’s victory over French King Francis I through seven meticulously woven tapestries and corresponding armor. “The Battle of Pavia tapestries are at once dazzlingly intricate fine art, powerful historical documents, and awe-inspiring visual narratives that will envelop visitors in early sixteenth-century art and history,” notes Kimbell Art Museum director Eric Lee. “The Kimbell is proud to be the first-ever U.S. venue to host the group of seven masterpieces. We are grateful to the museum in Naples and the Italian government for making the exhibition possible.” 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd., kimbellart.org
