The Setting Dallasites ducked in from the rain in a flurry of evening gowns and bow ties at the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House for the annual Spring Gala.

The Scene Cocktails and delish bites were served in the Winspear lobby, where ladies and their lucky dates clinked glasses and posed for photos before queuing up for the show. Chaired by Carol and Don Glendenning, this year’s performance, dubbed Magnifique, was a recital by internationally renowned mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, who joked that only in Dallas would an intimate performance around a piano take place in such a snazzy setting—touché! After her beautiful renditions—including crowd favorite “La Vie en Rose”—guests took to the stage for a dinner overlooking the theater. Tables boasting arrangements of mini citrus trees were laden with dish after dish by Wolfgang Puck Catering and guest chef Abraham Salum.

The Crowd Attendees included Richard and Alice Bass, Nancy and Jeremy Halbreich, Amy and Michael Meadows, Margot and Ross Perot, Anne and Steve Stodghill and others. Photography by Kristina Bowman
