League of Her Own

| January 2, 2013 | Parties

Actress Geena Davis charmed the packed Dallas Women’s Foundation luncheon crowd at the Hilton Anatole. The Oscar-winning actress, Mensa member and skilled archer hit a bulls-eye with thoughtful comments about her foundation’s efforts to reduce gender stereotyping in film. The message naturally resonated with the DWF, which has disbursed more than $19 million in its 27-year history. Luncheon chair Katherine LaLonde and foundation CEO Roslyn Thompson also acknowledged Joy Mankoff and Philip Cubeta, winners of the prestigious “Power of the Purse” awards. Congrats!
