Kudos KERA!

| February 23, 2012 | Parties

“Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street...” The ditty from the world of Big Bird and Elmo may not be your typical party beat. But, performed by Booker T. Washington H.S. jazz singers, it fit right in at the 50th anniversary celebration for public television station KERA. Chaired by Melissa Fetter with honorary chair Ruth Altshuler, the bash ushered in a sold-out list of 400 to the Wyly Theatre, where KERA visionaries Robert A. Wilson (accompanied by wife Laura and actor sons Luke and Owen) and the late Ralph B. Rogers were honored. More musical flavor came with Grammy-winning artists Asleep at the Wheel.
