The second dining venue in the Hall Arts complex in the Dallas Arts District has bowed. Musumé is a temple to Asian fusion cuisine and sake. Next to Flora Street Cafe, Musumé (which is Japanese for “daughter”) features fare inspired by the cuisines of Japan, China, Southeast Indonesia and the Middle East, made modern with French technique and an emphasis on fresh, seasonal produce and vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. We’re excited about dishes such as five-spice duck confit; grilled lamb lollipops; roasted yams stuffed with miso apple butter, cucumber raita and crispy pork belly; market vegetable tofu; and sushi, all of which can be paired with the largest selection of sake in Texas, plus Japanese whiskies and creative cocktails. Topping the restaurant’s modern, nature-themed space designed by Gensler’s Dallas team is a second-floor rooftop patio, sure to become a prime perch for private events overlooking the Winspear Opera House, AT&T Performing Arts Center and Wyly Theatre action on Flora Street. 2330 Flora St., 214.871.8853
