1. WHAT FIRST SPARKED YOUR INTEREST IN THIS BUSINESS?
Growing up I watched my mother sew and at 10 years old I made my school clothes. In high school I became an apprentice at a local wedding design studio. Getting my first taste of wedding gown design and construction was exciting. Since then, I have taken my hand to a vast myriad of luxury garments. It gives me such joy and peace.
2. SHARE A BRIEF HISTORY OF YOUR BUSINESS.
In 1987 moving to Texas was the start of my entrepreneurial journey. I worked as a tailor for a couple of retail stores before landing exclusive spots located inside two high-end clothing stores at Northpark Mall. Building my clientele became easy at that point and shortly thereafter I became a fulltime business owner.
3. WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?
The best part of my job is being able to do what I love every day, creating and re-creating things for some of the happiest people on the planet.
4. WHAT CURRENT AND PAST PROJECTS THAT YOU’VE WORKED ON ARE YOU PARTICULARLY PROUD OF?
With so many weddings canceled last year we had to stay busy and being creative is my happy place. Sitting on the couch was not an option. So we launched Romantica a Bespoke collection that fuses traditional elegance with fresh trends. It is inspired by the glamorous bride and a life-long love affair with romance.
WHAT IS THE ETHOS BEHIND YOUR BUSINESS?
As a kid, I already knew that being a designer was in the cards for me, I love my job. The ability to match design skills with technical knowledge became easy early on. Working for various companies, I noticed that clients were limited in their asks by what the company had to offer. My confidence in the behavior of fabrics allows me to make informed decisions during the design process by creating Bespoke gowns that will enhance a woman’s true qualities, for a lifetime of joy!

Due to the Brides that are finally able to book weddings, our priorities for our spring line launch have been reconsidered and are now focusing our efforts on our fall line goals. March 2022, we will be launching our new website.
