What inspired you to take on this role and join team Perot?
Joining the Perot Museum is the perfect merger of my passion for education and work in cultural organizations. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to be part of an institution that sparks curiosity, drives discovery and shapes the future of Dallas. Creating meaningful connections between people and the transformative power of informal learning is like rocket fuel for my work.
What skill set from previous work do you bring to your new role?
From my work in education and with the Dallas Museum of Art and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, I’ve had the privilege of spearheading branding and digital strategies that increased engagement and positioned those organizations as community pillars. At the Perot Museum, I look forward to building on that expertise to showcase the wonders of nature and science while inspiring the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
What excites you most about the future of the Perot Museum?
The Perot Museum’s ongoing evolution and mission to make science accessible and exciting for everyone is truly inspiring. The renovation of the Moody Family Children’s Museum will be especially impactful, creating hands-on, interactive spaces that spark curiosity and creativity in young minds.
What is the broader impact of STEM education in the community?
It opens doors to careers in so many fields–from technology and engineering to healthcare and even creative industries. At the Perot Museum, I want my work to help spark a love of learning that drives innovation, helps close workforce gaps and builds a stronger, more inclusive community for the future.
When you’re not working, you are…
Currently, I’m splitting most of my time between my MBA studies and keeping up with my very active seven-year-old daughter. My husband and I are creatives at heart, so as a family, we spend as much time as we can feeding creative interests in music and visual arts.
