The newly debuted très chic lipsticks by Hermès Beauty arrive in an iconic orange box. Inside, the carefully crafted objets (designed by Pierre Hardy) are slipped into a natural canvas pouch like precious pieces of jewelry.
Say bonjour to the season’s most luxurious launch, Hermès Beauty(691 Madison Ave., hermes.com). For those who covet that Parisian panache and ineffable je ne sais quoi, brace yourself and prepare to elevate your lipstick game—the Birkin bag of beauty has arrived. In keeping with the elegant tradition of the house, Hermès looked to its expert team of artistic directors Bali Barret, Pierre Hardy, Jérôme Touron and Christine Nagel for fragrance. The collection debuted with the emblematic Rouge Hermès collection of 24 shades of refillable lipsticks ($68 each). (The number 24 is a nod to the maison’s historic Faubourg Saint-Honoré address.) The matte- and satin-finish lipsticks launched in colors signature to the brand: Orange Bôite; Rouge Casaque; and Rouge H, a deep, almost burgundy that has defined the house since 1925. A universal lip pencil, lip care balm, poppy lip shine and lip brush round out the offerings. The permanent Rouge Hermès collection is complemented by a limited-edition spring collection of three intense lipstick hues ($72 each). It wouldn’t be a proper Hermès launch without luxurious leather accessories, bien sûr! Thankfully the house’s haute hide fans can snag a lipstick case with mirror, a pop-up lipstick case or an accessoire mirror—a necklacelike mirrored pendant that has to be the chicest way to apply your lipstick on either side of the Seine.
