For dewy skin, Walker swears by “loads of The Ordinary’s Rose Hip Seed Oil and 111Skin’s Sub-Zero De-Puffing Eye Mask.”
Houston-born Keenan Walker has the career clout most fashion girls dream of attaining. After moving to New York City at age 19, she helped open Alexander Wang’s flagship store in Soho, spent a summer styling musicians in Stockholm, Sweden, and worked as a costume designer at Warner Bros. Studio in Los Angeles before returning to Texas to join the buying team at Forty Five Ten. Now head of fashion at MARKET Highland Park Village (markethighlandpark.com), Walker can be spotted drifting around the Village in her latest buys from Paris Fashion Week for the Elisa Summers-owned boutique. Here, she shares her current essentials and summer favorites.
The Getaway
“I spent the last few Fourth of Julys in Aspen, which is always magical. Getting out of the city and into the heart of nature is always a nice reset for me.”
The Scent
“I layer Orto Parisi’s Terroni and Frédéric Malle’s Portrait of a Lady year-round.” Portrait of a Lady by Dominique Ropion, 3.4 fl. oz. for $390, fredericmalle.com
The Gear
“I’m in love with anything by Marianna Senchina. The brand launched exclusively with MARKET for spring/summer 2019 in brick-and-mortar... we are so happy to be able to offer a platform for emerging designers.” Dress, $760, MARKET, 26B Highland Park Village
The Bling
“I find myself reaching for my pieces by Hoorsenbuhs over and over again. The tough gold with the dainty diamonds is the perfect mix of femininity and grit.” Ring, $9,000, MARKET, 26B Highland Park Village
The Hot Spot
“Beverley’s opened this spring, and I’ve already been more times than I can count. Their cheeseburger is my favorite indulgence.” beverleysdallas.com
