Air Jordan and Adidas are only a few of the sneaker brands you can find stocked on the shelves of this popular shoetique. But the latest label to hit the store? Centre’s very own. This month, the shop debuts its own Texas-branded sneaker. According to Centre co-founder Nick Sunderman, the new shoe will serve as an ode to the great state of Texas—in the most stylish way. “We want a sneaker that represents the history and spirit of Texas,” he says. “Being born and raised in North Texas myself, I wanted something for people here to wear and be proud of.” Centre fans can expect three different silhouettes—think a running shoe, a canvas sneaker and a three-quarter slip-on sneaker made of locally sourced fabrics and materials, minus the sole. “This is the first time Centre will be manufacturing its own shoes. We have an impressive, talented design team that has been working to create the shoe line, and we could not be more excited to roll them out,” shares Sunderman. The feeling is mutual. $120-$180, 5307 E. Mockingbird Lane, centretx.com
