Dallas Museum of Art's An Affair of the Art

| March 28, 2011 | Parties

Any soirĂ©e with the theme, Maison de la Mode: House of Fashion, is going to prompt some pretty haute trends among guests. Indeed, this was the closet case at the black-tie benefit, which took a couture cue from the DMA’s upcoming Jean Paul Gaultier retrospective (bowing in November). Sponsored by Modern Luxury Dallas, more than 475 (brilliantly clad!) rendezvoused for the occasion. Runway videos of Gaultier catwalkers played out on the museum walls and DJ Wish FM held court from his elevated booth. Leggy models, dressed by Stanley Korshak, donned Ruffian and designer boys Brian Wolk and Claude Morais played it cool, scoping out the scene and casually mingling with enthusiasts. But, it was gala co-chairs Paige Westhoff (in vintage Manuel) and Jennifer and Aaron Tobin (she in a shimmering Carolina Herrera), who really captured gazes. Before wrapping for the night, winners of coveted raffle prizes (like seats at Ruffian’s New York Fashion Week show and a 7.5-carat blue topaz ring from deBoulle) were announced.
