For this massive remodel, the homeowners enlisted the talented team from Andrea Smith Design and eggersmann USA designer Kegan Wilson, who worked their magic to transform this elaborately ornate Mediterranean-style mansion into a modernized place to entertain. Seeking inspiration from a recently completed project from this dynamic duo of a team, the homeowners opted to tap the design-inclined for this monumental undertaking.
Bathed in light, the living room features sofas from Marroquin Custom Upholstery and a custom bench from Mod Shop.
“The home’s existing warm, classic, Mediterranean exterior and interior architecture ruled out an ultramodern design as it would feel foreign,” notes Wilson. “But Andrea and the eggersmann team designed a clean contemporary aesthetic with a sprinkling of sleek touches.” The end result? A seriously stylish and sophisticated palette weaved throughout each room.

From the opulent kitchen, featuring white Calcatta marble countertops and backsplash and custom polished steel-framed glass-door wall cabinets with custom gray-lacquer interior paired with a handsome smoked eucalyptus veneer, to the exquisite walk-in his-and-her closets, every detail was met with a meticulous eye and unparalleled cohesion.
Her study includes a Kyle Bunting rug, marble fireplace from Fior di Pesco Apuano marble slabs, drapery fabric from S. Harris and a wired custom lighting chandelier.
Extra perks include a catering kitchen, butler’s pantry and a covetable family room dressed head to toe in luxury—it is obvious that style reigns supreme in this home. Our only question is, when is the next party, and can we join?
