Dallas International Film Festival
With more than 50 countries represented and over 2,000 filmmakers showcased to date, Dallas Film presents its annual festival that always packs a punch. Featuring world-renowned artists from around the globe, DIFF strives to shine a light on such talent and share their stories with the Dallas community. West Village will set the scene for eight days chock-full of inspiration, artistic expression and much fun to be had. 3699 McKinney Ave.
In the heart of Dallas’ vibrant downtown arts district at the Fashion Industry Gallery, the Dallas Art Fair offers art professionals, collectors and spectators the perfect opportunity to interact with a fabulous selection of modern and contemporary art. For a true art lover, the pARTy Pass is a dream, featuring an invite to the Champagne Soiree and The Eye Ball. This philanthropic outdoor event benefits the Dallas Art Fair Foundation’s museum and education initiative. 1807 Ross Ave.
This annual Texas tradition brings the whole state together for three weeks of food, games and entertainment. Listen to live performances, visit the midway for over 70 thrilling rides or have some family fun at the Big Tex’s Farmyard. Other attractions include the Starlight Parade, a full auto show, the Texas Skyway gondola ride, dog and pig races, and a 212-foot-tall Ferris wheel overlooking the fairgrounds. Every year, Texans take to Fair Park to raise awareness and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community at Dallas Pride. With multiple events, including the Music Festival in the Park, a Family Pride Zone and the Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade. The colorful, mile-long parade boasts over 150 entries encircling the fairgrounds with floats, performers and groups of all backgrounds. Fair Park, 1300 Robert B Cullum Blvd.
Since 1986, North Texas’ largest summertime food festival has been Taste of Dallas. The premier three-day event showcases the best food and drink the city has to offer, including interactive encounters with chefs, restaurants, brand ambassadors, exhibitors and more. Expect a wide variety of attractions, from the ultimate BBQ experience at Smoke & Sauce to a culinary tribute to the State Fair of Texas at It’s So Fair. Dallas Market Hall, 2200 N. Stemmons Freeway
Presented each year by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL), the Riverfront Jazz Festival features an array of renowned music artists from around the world, with live jazz, R&B, soul, blues and Neosoul performances. Past performers include Grammy Award winner (and last year’s honorary festival chair) Erykah Badu alongside the likes of David Benoit and Millie Jackson. Dallas Convention Center, 1309 Canton St.
Chefs For Farmers Dallas Food & Wine Festival
Texas food and drink artisans gather for an annual four-day festival in Texas where chefs and farmers showcase their specialties. Guests sampled fare from acclaimed chefs along with craft beverages at city venues accented by music.
