When it comes to outdoor living, Claire Crowe proves that home is where the hearth is.
As we spend more time at home, the concept of curating a calm, relaxing space seems more relevant than ever before—particularly when it comes to outdoor living. And if anyone knows the secret to designing the perfect backyard setup, it’s Dallas-based artisan Claire Crowe. When faced with a bare fireplace and a void in the market for handcrafted hearth furnishings, Crowe decided to take matters into her own hands. Since launching her eponymous collection of bespoke fire screens in 2010, Crowe has expanded her offerings to include mineral light fixtures, nature-inspired wall adornments and handcarved stone accessories. It is her signature product, however, that has us buzzing these days.

“The fireplace as a symbolic space to gather and share moments is central to our brand, and it inspires me every day,” says the designer of her initial inspiration for Claire Crowe Collection. “It’s rare to build a fire and have no one show up,” Crowe continues. “With my fire screen designs, I’m honoring the urge to be together by making the place where we come together at home more beautiful.” With cooler weather upon us, Texans can finally make use of our oft-neglected outdoor hearths. Not to mention, considering the rising trend in patio and porch renovations, a well-accented fireplace alfresco seems only fitting for our next home improvement project. Crowe’s fire screens are handcrafted using forged iron and are available in an array of designs and finishes. Shop the collection at her Design District showroom or through local stockists such as Blue Print and Stanley Korshak. 2242 Monitor St., Ste. 100, clairecrowecollection.com
