Stylishly stepping into the art of tablescaping, the design darlings at Blue Print (blueprintstore.com) have launched a new collection just in time for this season’s soirees. We caught up with BP co-founder Cynthia Collins, who shares some of her favorite tips and tricks for the art of entertaining. Luckily, she wants us to have our cake and eat it too!

What first sparked the idea to launch Blue Print Tablescapes? I have always had an interest in entertaining and collecting. I still use pieces I bought in my 20s. I recently used some beautiful blue glasses for margaritas that I bought when I was 23 years old! I’ve always wanted to help spur others to feel confident in entertaining. If you have what you need to be creative, you are much more likely to have others over for a fun dinner.
What are some of your must-haves when it comes to tablescaping? An assortment of table linens. It is a great way to change things up. If they are always ironed and ready, then you will use them all the time. Your linens help you to be more creative and change things up.
What’s your secret to being the host with the most? Do the work beforehand. That way you can enjoy your company. I love sitting down and visiting instead of busying myself. Always have your linens ironed, silver polished, and glasses and china in a cabinet that is easy to get to. Make something easy so you will have fun too!
What’s your favorite part of the collection? Glassware. We have been collecting glassware from artists all over the world in different price ranges. We have some beautiful glasses that can mix in with other glassware that you have. It’s nice to mix in a glass that is a statement with simple clear crystal.

What can shoppers expect? We are encouraging customers to mix and match. We will help them layer in new items with their existing china, glassware or flatware to create new looks they love.
What’s next on the horizon? We are already growing our tablescapes into another room that will be ready in about six weeks. We are expecting many more lines of all price ranges to arrive in the next few months. We would like to always be adding to this beautiful collection.
