225 S Charles Street, Lewisville / Website
Visit this popular distillery to embark on a tour of its facilities and learn about its distilling processes. Tours are held Fridays and Saturdays but book up quickly so it’s best to reserve a space in advance. Explore the brand’s whiskeys and bourbons and even enjoy an array of bites from the on-site tasting room. Be sure to stop by from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday to Saturday for happy hour specials starting at just $5. Open every day.
2880 Clover Street / Website
Lovers of vodka must visit the Deep Ellum distillery. The brand boasts having “the largest selection of vodka infusions in Dallas,” which come in flavors like coffee, serrano and cucumber mint, among others. In addition to vodka, the distillery also features whiskey and bourbon. Visit the distillery for a tour and sampling on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, tickets can be reserved on their website. The tasting room is open from Thursdays to Sundays.

Enjoy the ever-popular TX Whiskey straight from the source, at Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. The brand’s Whiskey Ranch is a part distillery, tasting room and store, but perhaps the best part is its location on the golf course at Glen Garden Country Club, perfect for grabbing a drink with pals after a round of golf. There’s a ton to explore on the 112-acre grounds. Open Wednesdays to Fridays, with occasional weekend events listed on their website.
803 Shepherd Drive, Garland / Website
Sip on Texas rye, Texas bourbon, single malt whiskey and blended bourbon at Herman Marshall’s distillery. While tours are currently on pause, there’s a new distillery on the horizon, the brand’s Wylie distillery, set to open in the spring of 2023. The tasting room is currently open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.and reservations are required.

Visit one of Lockwood Distilling Co.’s two locations for nights filled with live music, good food, and a variety of craft liquors. The brand brews bourbon whiskey, rye whiskey, bourbon cream liquor, Texas-style gin, vodka, and a variety of flavored rums. Also available in the tasting room, and unique to many Texas distilleries, are wines and a coinciding wine club. Open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and the Fort Worth location is closed on Sundays.

To learn all the ins and outs of distilling, catch a Saturday tour at Lone Elm. The brand brews Texas whiskeys and wheat vodka, all crafted from ingredients gathered from local farmers, and the brand prides itself on giving its spent ingredients back to those farmers, so they can better fertilize their next crop. Stop by to taste the spirits and take a tour, which happens every half hour from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
1734 East El Paso Street, Fort Worth / Website
Located in the former Ranch Style Bean building, explore Silver Star Spirits. The brand proudly makes its brews using rainwater, collected on-site, and Texas grains. Explore the brand’s vodka, Texas whiskey, bourbon and Texas honey whiskey at its whiskey bar. Then, take a tour of its distilling processes and sample all four of its signature spirits, including a commemorative bourbon glass. Tours start at $25 and must be booked in advance.
