Shoppers get dolled up to celebrate Neiman Marcus' iconic collaboration.

Rife with splashy swaths of colors and bold designs—a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse awaits at Neiman Marcus NorthPark. Having just unveiled an exclusive collaboration with French fashion house, Balmain, the pop-up experience beckons shoppers to enjoy the ultimate game of dress-up. After all, that’s one of Barbie’s favorite activities, n’est-ce pas? To celebrate the limited-edition capsule—marking the only one in the country—guests gathered for a festive lunch al fresco in the men’s courtyard of Neiman Marcus. Punchy pinks were of course the theme du jour as the crowd came together to talk shop—literally. Following lunch, it was showtime. The crowd weaved their way through the store as they made their way to what felt like a scene from Candyland.

The 2,000-sq-ft installation sits pretty (in pink, of course) summoning shoppers to marvel at the uberchic collab. Pulling from the French brand’s je ne sais quoi, the installation features Parisian-style park benches and the verdant cafes mimicking the iconic Tuileries Garden. And, as if there couldn’t be any more Insta-worthy moments, cue in the life-sized doll box for customers to jump in for their 15 minutes of Barbie fame. Every darling detail has been meticulously thought through for the immersive experience. “We have heard from many of our customers that they want to have fun with fashion again,” shares President and Chief Merchandising Officer for Neiman Marcus, Lana Todorovich. “The special partnership between Balmain and Barbie does that and more.” We couldn’t agree more—it’s time to have fun—beaucoups of fun!
