Asian Fusion Pre-Show Dining in HALL Arts

Krystal Sarna | January 22, 2018 | Feature Features

An Asian restaurant with a nod to French cooking comes to HALL Arts this month.
Musumé steamed buns with house made ma la oil and mint

Joining Stephan Pyles’ Flora Street Café in the HALL Arts complex is contemporary Asian fusion restaurant Musumé. From creator—and former co-owner at Kenichi Dallas—Josh Babb and partner Sean Clavir of Rock Libations restaurant group, comes a mouthwatering menu, heavy on the sushi and sake. Executive Chef Ken Lumpkin grew up in a Japanese household, laying the foundation for him to become a sushi master, while also learning the art of classic French cooking. His menu boasts five spice duck confit, grilled lamb lollipops and chickpea panisse steamed buns. Pair any with your choice of sake from the largest selection in Texas (including sake on tap). The Gensler Team led by Dana Foley designed the space featuring a second-floor rooftop patio, used for private events only — perfect for Japanese whiskey tastings or an Asian-inspired cocktail party. Lock in a dinner and opera date because doors open Jan. 24. 2330 Flora St., Ste. 170
