As the premier FBO at Meacham International Airport in Fort Worth, Texas—and indeed throughout the world—American Aero is reimagining the FBO experience. Founder Robert M. Bass envisioned a world-class operation that would be an exceptional point of entry for private aviation travelers. That meant designing an ultra-modern facility, nurturing a safety culture beyond industry standards, and making an investment in excellence.

It begins with an expansive, 11-acre ramp that allows effortless aircraft movements. Visitors also appreciate secure transient hangars, covered parking, complimentary drinks and snacks, immediate proximity to U.S. Customs, and an array of technologies and amenities.

Upon entering the FBO, guests are wowed by the spectacular blue wall that runs the length of the facility. A spacious lobby features soaring windows with self-tinting glass which offer an expansive view of the ramp but shade the room from the hot Texas sun. Sound-dampening technology provides a tranquil environment in which to relax or work between flights.

An ethereal sculpture created by the renowned American artist Alyson Shotz whose work has been featured in the Guggenheim Museum and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art hangs above the reception desk. Titled “Momentum,” the piece adds a dynamic visual for the pilots, crew members, and passengers passing through the busy FBO to their next destination.

American Aero guests can access executive and VIP lounges or host a meeting in the 24-person conference room. Private crew quarters provide a place to relax or access an ensuite shower and soundproof sleep room. Pilots can even keep a lookout for incoming passengers on a closed-circuit monitor.
