Aided and A-fêted!

| May 22, 2012 | Parties

THE CROWD The Dallas Museum of Art never saw so many works of art—and we’re not referring to the paintings. Art Ball 2012, presented by Headington Companies and the Dallas Museum of Art, themed Wanderlust, brought out a bevy of gorgeously clad Dallas beauties, including co-chairs Julie Hawes and Merry Vose, Jacqueline Anderson (in that dress), Nini Nguyen, Joyce Goss, Kary Brittingham and Bradley Agather. A live and silent auction by Christie’s managed to raise a whopping half mil, a quarter of the total for the DMA’s largest fundraiser. THE FÊTE Douglas Little, Nelson Robinson and Rusty Glenn, created a series of aptly themed “Jet-Set” rooms for a multicourse dinner entitled “Life is a Banquet.” And boy was it: Lemongrass-marinated shrimp, coffee-cured filet, mochi-wrapped truffles and more were devoured before a crowd in rather good spirits headed out to its next destination. & MORE! The night ended with an after-party at Rio Room, with a live performance by sultry songstress and Dallas native Erykah Badu.
