United Way’s third annual social innovation competition captured the attention and hearts of tens of thousands of North Texans. Five social innovators competed for $225,000 to support their organization’s work in the areas of education, income and health—the building blocks of opportunity. From April 8-15, these competitors garnered more than 40,000 online votes during The Vote, and on April 16, they competed again at The Pitch for a live audience and panel of judges.
