| June 24, 2019 | Parties

EYES ON THE PRIZE A powerful group of worldwide arts players gathered for this year’s Nasher Prize Gala.

THE PARTY The Nasher Sculpture Center hosted the Nasher Prize Gala on the first weekend of Dallas Arts Month, welcoming the city’s top art patrons alongside international artists, curators and collectors. The fourth ever laureate of the Prize is renowned German contemporary artist Isa Genzken; the second woman on the roster.

THE GUESTS Nancy Nasher and David Haemisegger, Nasher Sculpture Center director Jeremy Strick, and Nasher Prize co-chairs John Dayton and Fanchon and Howard Hallam welcomed guests to the impressive fete. Also in attendance, Derek and Christen Wilson, Deedie Rose, Catherine and Will Rose, 2018 laureate Theaster Gates, and artists Tatiana Trouve, Simon Denny and Charles Long.

THE HIGHLIGHTS Within a tent in the Nasher Garden, guests sipped on Dom Pérignon Champagne below a majestic floral ceiling created by Bows & Arrows Flowers. The striking crowd celebrated another spectacular year for Nasher Sculpture Center over a four-course dinner created by Wolfgang Puck Catering.
