200+ art enthusiasts and professionals gathered at Markowicz Fine Art Gallery Saturday night, September 21, to commemorate the gallery’s Grand Opening. Real estate developer Bill Hutchinson kicked off the night with the unveiling of “Babyfoot,” an 8-foot tall blue baby which now marks the entrance to the Dallas Design District. Councilman Chad West was also a part of the ceremony, followed by the artist behind “Babyfoot”, Idan Zareski. Guests then browsed the gallery’s expansive collection of works, including the newly painted exterior mural by Los Angeles-based street artist, Kai. Notable artists in attendance included Kaï, Sylvain Tremblay, Tommy Zen, Idan Zareski, Ted Collier, Metis Atash and Carolus.
