For Dallas Cowboys legend and design darling extraordinaire, Darren and Tiffany Woodson are no strangers to the spotlight. This dynamic duo is on a mission to tap into their power platform to instill a strong work ethic and promote the power of positivity.
You have an inspiring legacy story—how did your past inspire your future?
DW: As a former athlete, my job kept me hyper-focused on the task at hand. As I have matured, my past has taught me to be more present in the moment and cherishing experiences that may come once in a lifetime.
Growing and running a successful business is no easy feat—pairing that with the demands of a family is a lot to balance. How do you do it all?
TW: I cannot do it all; however, I can do the most by surrounding myself with people whose strengths balance mine. Because of family, friends and my team at INK+ORO, I get to be a mom, friend and mentor. The success of my business is only humanly possible with their support and patience.
You’ve both supported Children’s Health over the years. Tell us about your commitment to the Children’s mission.
DW: My commitment is to help as many children as I possibly can and help provide resources for them and their caregivers.
As you’re raising your children, how are you inspiring them to follow in your footsteps of your legacy of giving back?
DW: It’s important for us to show our kids that they can make a difference in the community starting with acts of kindness and respect for peers at school and in sports. We engage them in our endeavors with C5 Texas, Make-A-Wish, Salvation Army and others. With time and donations, even their favorite toys, we give our kids opportunities to serve.
What do you want your family legacy to be for our community?
TW: We want our legacy to represent purpose, resilience and a firm sense of service.
