5 Asian-Influenced Hot Spots

The Editors with Jessica Elliott and Valerie Jarvie | June 14, 2018 | Feature Features

The forty-two finest things hitting the Dallas food scene.

1 Imoto
Hallelujah, Kent Rathbun’s name is officially back in the Dallas dining scene! The acclaimed chef partners with his wife, Tracy, in a stylish new venue in Victory Park. Imoto will not feature a meld of styles, but a deep dive into varied Asian cuisines with a top-notch bar program to match. Look for chef signature sushi, plus upscale dishes from China, Thailand, Indonesia and more.

2 Musumé
Joshua Babb (former proprietor of Kenichi in Victory Park) brings his sake sensibilities to Hall Arts Plaza with stylish Asian-fusion dining and the largest collection of sake in the state. Chef Ken Lumpkin oversees the kitchen, turning out not just sushi, but dishes such as grilled lamb lollipops and five-spice duck confit. Best of all, it’s just steps from the Winspear Opera House and Wyly Theatre.
