12 Reasons To Say “I Do”

Lauren Sands | January 12, 2017 | Feature Features

When all the holiday engagements began to crowd our Instagram feed (congratulations!), our minds went straight to the most integral part—the dress! We've rounded up the best designer trunk shows at one of Dallas' most extraordinary bridal boutiques, the Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus Dallas-Downtown.
The beautiful selection of designer gowns at the Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus Dallas-Downtown.

1. Sareh Nouri
Using only the highest-quality French lace and Italian silk, Sareh Nouri’s newest collection is simultaneously romantic and sophisticated. Jan. 13-14.

2. Isabelle Armstrong
The bride who loves the latest trends will find her match in this collection. Open backs and figure-hugging lace are seen throughout this collection. One standout is a silky slip-style gown that is both sexy and simple. Jan. 20-21.

3. Amsale
Simple silhouettes meet dainty detailing to create a collection that is both modern and chic; it’s minimalist without being mundane. Jan. 27-28.

4. Austin Scarlett
The Oregon-born designer brings classical silhouettes to life with unique hemming, visible boning in his corsets and floral detailing in his latest collection. Standout and simple, these gowns can do it all. Feb. 3-4.

5. Steven Birbaum
Handcrafted in his New York City atelier, this collection offers a whimsical take on classic bridal styles. These dresses will have you floating down the aisle fluttering silk and delicate beading. Feb 10-11.

6. Peter Langner
Sweeping silhouettes ensure the Peter Langner bride floats through her wedding day with ease. Expert draping brings natural details to accentuate the brilliance behind these dresses. Feb. 24-25.

7. Sachin & Babi
Magnificent bows can be found all over this collection, leading into graceful draping and sweeping, spectacular trains. March 3-4.

8. Rivini
Rivini focuses on the idea of simple luxury with gowns of creamy white and ivory in sweeping silhouettes. The gowns are made using lush, crepe, chiffon, sils and organza, which need nothing more than minimal ornamentation to shine. March 10-11.

9. Naeem Khan
Naeem Khan has pushed boundaries with her spring 2017 collection, and brides who want to break from tradition should look no further. The jumpsuits and cocktail-length dresses throughout the collection are enough to warrant that description, but it is the amount of bright colors throughout that take it to the next level. The showstopper is a midnight-black bridal gown that has a train-length veil and glittering beading. March 17-18.

10. Romona Keveza
The modern bride wants something as powerful as she is, and this collection manages to do that while staying feminine and sleek. Fun florals and bright colors are sprinkled throughout the collection, making it the perfect complement to a spring wedding. April 28-29.

11. Austin Scarlett
With a wide variety of classic bridal colors like champagne, blush, rose, ivory, and cream, this collection truly is for any bride. The gowns stick to simple silhouettes and use statement accents to create stunning, one-of-a-kind looks for every design. May 19-20.

12. Monique Lhuillier
Ethereal and sexy, this collection manages to unite modern trends, classic silhouettes and exquisite detail without ever being overwhelming. Lace and flower details give a delicate grace to the entire collection. July 16-17. Neiman Marcus Dallas-Downtown, 1618 Main St., 214.741.6911
